Default What's the best way to get tire rubber off quarter panels?

Hello, I went to the drags this weekend for the first time. Whats the best and easiest way to get all the tire rubber off my quarter panels?

I usually swing by the carwash and use the powerwasher to knock it off. Other than that,elbow grease! You can use your hand and ahose. Just make sure that if you use a rag, know that all that rubber is going to stick to it.

i used goo gone and it worked great. hardly needed any elbow grease.

Bug and Tar remover works pretty good too if it is stuck on really good.

I used a powerwasher today and its stuck on there pretty good. Got about 50% off. I'll give the bug and tar remover a shoot. I tried WD-40 today as I heard that works. Didn't do all that great.

Spray around and behind the quarters with non stick cooking spray before you hit the drags next time. The rubber will come off like cookies on teflon.

Just a good coat of wax seems to keep the rubber from sticking to my car. All I have to do is wipe it off.
