Pinks all out
We ran the Houston All Out last year and look forward to running the San Antonio event in March 2008. As fas as Rich, I thought he was actually a pretty cool guy. I have alot of respect for him to organize and come up with this event. Now, when it comes to picking the field of cars...I sent an email to Pinks awhile back and suggested a Pinks All Out Street Car version and a Race Car version.
We'll see if they revamp it any. I see where it won't change much though. We went to the Fastest Street Car Shootout out this past summer. It was kinda funny to see these "street cars". They were full tube chassis cars with fiberglass bodies and running low-mid 8's. So, there is no way to make everyone happy.
You also gott a remember that picking a 12 second class would be boring TV. (Now, guys...don't start slamming me before I explain). If ya look at the big picture, 12's aren't that impressive in the TV world. Back in my days of high school, if you had a low 13 second car, you were VERY fast. Now, the times...they are a changing. In order to get the TV viewers interested, they have to pick quicker cars.
