All my perfomance mods are in my sig, and I have a 3.31 rear (yes, that will be fixed eventually)

This guy who wants to race me has an STI with Full Exhaust (don't know what type) and a tune

I accepted because he respects my car, I just want to know what to expect

 

He may have you a little bit. Make sure you run the race tune!

 

Depending on how much moreboost he is running (probablya result of the tune) the STI can easitly be in the 12s...

What kind of race is this?

 

From the posts I've read on this forum, I think he's going to have you...JMO, though.

 

I'd guess he's probably got you, but give it a shot. Anyone can miss a shift.

 

You didn't say what kind of Race it would be.. If it's a Drag Race, you have a couple of negatives.. a) Gears, yours are a little too high to get you going quickly,B) K&N CAI, not one of the better Air Systems. C) His Car is lighter......+1 on the 93 Tune, Good luck

 

If its from a stop, he can probably get you. The STi has the AWD advantage, and in the hands of a capable driver, will snap off the line with no wheel spin. That said, I'm very familar with the cars and they take a certain a finesse to drive well. Maybe he doesn't have it, lol.[8D]

 

Honestly it's a drivers race on the street. A 14 second car can beat a 13 second car and the same goes with 13 second cars to 12 second cars. If you beat him off the line or stay with him off the line you will win if you hit your shifts. If he is a better driver than you, he will win. If you are about even, the cars will have to decide, but the STI will probably take you if you if you are both even with driving skills.

I ran a modded sti from a second gear roll, it was a very tight race we where mirror to mirror untill i hit 4th gear got him buy a fender then shut down. I have the 3.55 and was powershifting plus the mods in my sig, so dependin on his tune and the conditions it should be a pretty close race, from a dig idk if he gets a good launch i think he willhave you, race him and see the outcome.
