Good luck, and low 15's in a 6 cylinder ain't bad.
Ha...Well it's kind of embarrising when guys are running mid-high 14s with an intake and a tune. Thanks a lot for the tips guys. 14's next season are in reach. I should have a posi, aluminum ds and some 3.73s by then.

60'. 1/10 on the small end yeilds 2/10 - 3/10 on the big end. A 2.0 60' will drop your times by roughly 6/10 -9/10.

Good luck.
Not really but the launch is the most important part of the game. If all else fails get a set of Drag radial or a set of cheap wheels with slicks on them. What RPM do you leave at and whats your launch techneque?
I don't really know this to be true, but I've heard it from 2 people who have 10 ten second cars and spend a LOT of time at the track, so I believe them.
That depends. If its done with power, chassis (less lost energy), gear, higher rpm launch, converterthen yes you will get a larger multiplication effect because you leave the 60' going faster. If howeverthe 60' gain is purely from traction you leave the 60' going only slightly faster and the mutiplication effect is less pronounced.

As an example my car has run a 14.110 @ 102.7 mph on a 2.400 60'and 13.495 @ 103.31 on a 2.031 60' on the same night.

In otherwords I picked up0.16667 inthe 1/4 for every 0.10 in the 60'. Stilla 2.00wouldpick him up around 0.500 of a second.

For those who dont understand how you could leve the 60' with close to the same speed note the trap speeds on my 14.11 /2.400 and 13.495 / 2.03 runs. 102.7 vs 103.3. Not a lot of difference for 0.6 difference in 1/4 mi times. The reason for this is even though you are accelerating slower (tire spin) you have longer to accelerate.

i cried a little on the inside lol. My car is getting put away for the winter in a few days so it can go under the knife. Funny thing is i have had 2.3 60fts and ran faster with 2.6 60fts my car is weird

It may be true for 10 second cars, not 15 second cars or even high 11 second cars like mine. A tenth on the short end is about a tenth on the big end for us slow guys.

Well, I don't really want to "argue" something I don't know about too much, but I do know that they weren't just talking about 10 second cars and I still trust them. Either way, we can agree that the 60' will make the difference.

for me, .1 in the 60' works out to about 1.8 in the big end for me.

Hell you may see this 3/4 ton in Maricopa one day. my buddy just moved out there from Chandler. I am planning a Friebird track day in Feb if interested p.m. me or let me know. I will be racing another 3/4 ton that had my best time with his best time by a tenth of a second. Loser has to detail the winners truck in a pretty little dress.
