geddylee, what you think youll hit in 1/4 mile?
i'm not sure, i figured that since i have a85 302 from afox in a car that is a couple hundred pounds lighter, and i have a few mods to it, i figured i would run at least amid tolow 14 and that is meunderestimating so i don't feel stupid later. The 1/4 mile calculators all say i'll run mid to high 13s. that would be nice[8D], because i don't really have much for mods

2000GT4.6:
"Just gonna throw this out there.... unless you have alot more mods than whats in your cardomain you probably arn't going to like the results of racing a terminator, even a stock one.... "

i'm not saying that i would, i don't mind losing to a faster car. i don't remember what i have on there for mods but here they are:

85 5.0 HO
Bored .30 over=306
Uknown "mild" cam(came with the motor, my friends think it's an alphabet cam, probably an E)
Edelbrock Torker 289 Intake
Edelbrock 600 Carb
Full Length Heddmens
GM style HEI Distributor
car weighs about 2700
3.55 gears

i know i probably would have lost provided she wasn't a horrible driver because my car is definetly running the way it should be, the carb needs rebuilt and then i need to reset the timing
Your mid 13 estimate is probably fairly close, assuming you catch traction. Unfortunatly, even a moderate driver in a bone stock termy can hit 12s with decent traction...

Then why do all magazines and online sourceshave them rated at 12.9? They're professional drivers that do that for a living. I know some people will still be faster than them, but no moderate driver is going to hit a mid 12 in a Termy.

They also test alot of different cars probably in one day. I don't think you can just jump in any car that your not used toand get the best time out of it. Someone who owns one and drives it every day can be easily capable of doing better.

Yeah, but it's not like they take one pass and be done with it. I guaruntee they take a lot of passes and get a feel for the car, then take the best run. Either way, if someone's running a 12.5 in a stock Termi, they're more than just a moderate driver. I know the cars are fast, but some people seem to think they're a little faster than they really are.

I haven't heard of too many running mid 12's without atleast having catback and intake, which makes a pretty big difference on Termi's since they're supercharged. I don't really look around this forum much more than this section though. But, anyone that's on this site and has a Terminator knows what they're driving and how to drive it, otherwise, they wouldn't be into it enough to be on a forum.

I never really expected to win, i just wanted to see it go and hear that sexy exhaust again. The traction problem and the mid 13 sec 1/4 estimate will be a thing of the past this spring though...

I'm planning on finishing my car this spring and summer, which will not only include installing my new carpet, but some junkyard GT40 heads(with some "work" done), custom x-pipe with some 10series flows, traction bars, a pair of 14" wheels for the rear wrapped in some D/R's. That's when the fun will truly begin[8D]

I riced out V6 is pretty bad. But, what's even worse is when there's a 5.0 under the hood and it looks like this-------> http://www.informationagencytimeplus.../view/1112/41/
That is digusting, its hard to look at it. Kinda hurts my eyes. No muscle car deserves this[:'(]
