My wife and i were driving home from the dragstrip when about a mile from home some guy and his girl kept trying to play. I thought that those cars would be faster than that! frm about 10 mph i pulled away from him like he wasnt even trying! after i slowed down he would pull up rext to me laughing, he seemed to enjoy having his *** handed to him! So i obliged twice more! when i got home i looked up the specs for that model, it comes with 210hp. I would guess that my stang would weigh much more than an eclipse tho. ahh well just felt like sharing that with you all. It has been a long time since anyone tryed playing with my stang, it gave me quite a rush!

Eclipses fell off the map after the 2nd gens, at least for being considered fast cars or potentially fast cars. The evo stole our engine and it was all over.

Good kill though. I'd rather see a mustang beat a 3rd gen than the other way around.

 

ohhhh boy you should hang in the 4g eclipse forum, those guys kill almost everything in their path. They are so full of their cars that im waiting the day i encounter a new 4g eclipse gt. [:'(]

3rd and 4th gens just don't have much to work with. The problem is that they don't even know it.


I like any/all fast cars. Sadly, 3rd and 4th gens rarely fall into that category. And, since joining this forum, I'm beginning to like the mustang guys better than import guys. Most seem to be older, or at least more mature.

 

Yeah, once they moved to V6's for power over the turbo 4, it went down hill from there. Really sucks too. I think the latest model could of had some potential if they would have retained the AWD. 263hp FWD sports cars just aren't the answer. Not only that, they weigh a freaking ton for what they are.

nick this is OT of the thread but i'm reading your sig. and i'm confused. How do you have a short shifter(unless these are different than short throw shifters), but then you have a shift kit??? to my knowledge shift kits are only found in autos, and shortshifters only in manuals?
