Just don't shift so late that you're actually bouncing off the rev-limiter. Get close as close as you can.

your car easily has 12s in it. my only mods are CAI and tune and my best run is 12.87 on the stock tires with the stock 17" wheels. With the street tires its hit or miss though. Your trap speed definently seems low, you should be easily trapping 108. shift at higher rpm. I shift at 6500, maybe a little higher, and I always power shift. Ive missed 3rd a couple of times and havent had any negative consequences. I was timid to do it at first as well, but you'll get a more aggressive attitude after some more runs (trust me). The best part about it is that you will have so much fun learning and getting better!! It's addicting!!

i find it very hard to believe you did a 12.8 with just a tune and cai....and i also find it very ,very, very ,very hard you cut a 1.8 60ft on stock tires......

not tryin to flame just stating my thoughts

well, I am definently not getting 1.8s consistently. It's hit or miss. I have always posted my timeslips. another guy on the forum that I met at the track has seen my car run and knows that my only mods are CAI and tune (redfireshaker06). I know it's pretty hard to believe. I was suprised to see that 60' time. you can search for my threads and see my timeslips and ask redfireshaker06 what my mods are. I understand your doubt though.

You need to get out more(aka go to a good track). Many many people have done it, including me. Well actually not stock tires, 255 Kuhmo somethings. It's all about the track prep.

I dont know dude, I race at one of the best tracks in the country and I've never seen a 12 second slip for those mods yet. Again I think it could be done. But you would need alot of things to go right for it to happen. Perfect launch, Track prep, cool weather.etc.
