at around 6:00 am today i was going back to my girlfriends house. i got stuck at a light on the highway and this STI pulls up next to me revving his ebgine and talkin smack. i was listening to music loud as hell and i was hyped before he rolled up so i was ready for this race plus ive been dying to race an STI for the longest. anyway, the light hits green and we floor it! in 2nd gear i was already getting distance on him, 4th gear i had a good 5 cars and then he gave up. i got off on my exit and what do ya know, he ends up pulling next to me at a light in the city, he doesnt even look over at me. i couldnt stop laughing, what a great way to start the day!

yeh but still in the 2000's, i gotta say though, it sounded real good and looked awesome but the kid was a ***** and oviously couldnt drive for ****! it took him a good to seconds into every shift before he got back on the gass and engaged the gear. personally i dont generally street race, or race in general i just like knowing that my car is fast and ripping it every so ofter. i was really impressed with my shifting, i dont remember ever shifting so fast or so smooth!

Am I missing something here or are you claiming you beat a STI with a 96 gt with intake and exhaust? It would take a heck of alot more then that to keep up with a low 13 sec car in a NPI head 4.6.

Im guessing it was a Regular SUbie with STI Wing/Decals?? The First WRX in AMerica Was 2002.... I dont think they had an STI...

But eitherway, You beat a Driver Good Race Still an Honorable Kill.

 

thx, im not sure what year exactly, i just know it was in the 2000's. thay kid was sooooooooo hurt! tops it off that his g/f or friend or wife was laughing at him.

 

well hopefully you don't run into a true STi or just a good driver in one, because they will be laughing at you at the next stop light.
