Firehawk!
It's been a few weeks sinse I drove the skittle with the lousy weather. So when I got up for work this morning I decided to give the girl a little exercise. Made a few high speed pulls on the way in. Maybe up to 130. Big fun. On the way home I crossed the Delaware memorial bridge and get on route 40. I'm doing about 70 when I come up on a sleek looking, black car in the right lane doing about 55MPH. At first I thought it was just a Firebird. But as I pulled up and slowedbeside it to get a better look I saw the Firehawk sticker on the door. I just wanted to check out the car and I wasn't trying to provoke a race but my man burried it so what was I supposed to do?
He had about a car on me, maybe a little more when I dropped into 3rd. Took a second for the turbo to spool but I started to reel him in. By 90 we were even and by 130 I had about 2 or 3 cars on him! Well we both get out of the throttle and resume normal driving. I needed gas so I pulled into a station and he follows me in. He walks up to the car and taps on the window. When I rolled down the window he asks what the hell do you have in that thing? He mentions that he's beat about 10 Neons in the past few years. I told him My mods and he said he had heard the stage 3's were fast and that he had killed a stage 2 pretty easily and had always wanted to run a stage 3. We talked cars til both were filled up by the attendant. We complimented each others cars and went on our way. Good day and a cool guy. Rare for an LS1 owner.[8D]

He said minor stuff. He was more interested in how to tell if he's going up against a fast SRT-4 or just another slow neon. I told him if he runs up on guys like you running a big turbo there no way to know. At least I have the stage 3 badge on my trunk to give a little warning.
