It's been a few weeks sinse I drove the skittle with the lousy weather. So when I got up for work this morning I decided to give the girl a little exercise. Made a few high speed pulls on the way in. Maybe up to 130. Big fun. On the way home I crossed the Delaware memorial bridge and get on route 40. But as I pulled up and slowedbeside it to get a better look I saw the Firehawk sticker on the door. I just wanted to check out the car and I wasn't trying to provoke a race but my man burried it so what was I supposed to do?
He had about a car on me, maybe a little more when I dropped into 3rd. Took a second for the turbo to spool but I started to reel him in. By 90 we were even and by 130 I had about 2 or 3 cars on him! Well we both get out of the throttle and resume normal driving. I needed gas so I pulled into a station and he follows me in. He walks up to the car and taps on the window. When I rolled down the window he asks what the hell do you have in that thing? He mentions that he's beat about 10 Neons in the past few years. I told him My mods and he said he had heard the stage 3's were fast and that he had killed a stage 2 pretty easily and had always wanted to run a stage 3. We talked cars til both were filled up by the attendant. We complimented each others cars and went on our way. Good day and a cool guy. Rare for an LS1 owner.[8D]

actually all the LS1 owners i've had encounters with on the street were cool as hell, maybe its just my experience.
awesome kill! i know for one that i would underestimate your car, and would get the smack layed down on me if i tried to mess haha

Not always. What I mean is that all LS1 engines make the same power, the only thing that makes some faster than others is optional gearing and transmissions. Take a 3.23 geared 02 Z/28 and a 3.23 geared Firehawk, both autos and they will run the same (givin equal varibles).

Hawk packages were the full SLP deal so it could have been packing a loudmouth/lid package, it's like JD1969 said...
I believe there was an Auto Hawk with the SLP package that went 13.0 stock out in Morocco when we were there (MFBA)...they also got optional 275/40-17 tires or some crap and suspension packages (1LE, or some ultra performance stuff)... they were basically track kings... in 1991 they had Brembro brake kits and Recaro seats in a few and other brake/suspension mods in the others...
I would rock a FireHawk before I would a WS6...

Just a quick question blue...are the numbers you've told me before on pump or race gas on hom?
I know you've told me, I just forgot and don't want to go searching through threads, rofl.
I was just curious what you were putting down on pump w/o hom
BTW, gotta love stage 3 spool, hope the 'new mods' you're headed for don't make it spool too much slower

I have a good buddy of mine that has a WS6 and his looks just like the Firehawk ... I see no differance in the 2 as far as appearance goes. I seen a Firehawk for the time yesterday -- I pulled beside him thinking that it was my buddy then he gave it a little gas and pulled ahead of me -- lucky for him I was in my DD (Civic) or I would have raced him to see the out come. So what does a Firehawk have for RWHP compared to a WS6?

an LS1 is an Ls1... they are all the same Z28, SS, Ws6, Firehawk, Formula, Trans Am
