So this guy i know has a 2004 mini cooper that is supercharged he said it has around 220 hp and goes 0-60 in like 5.2 seconds, he said he could probably beat me. are these fast at all? i just wanna know if he has a chance? oh the supercharger i guess is by john cooper works or whatever. minis racing department

 

I thought they were like mid high 14 second cars

I've never actually seen anyone race one of these things but the last review I read on the 08 mini S, it ran a 14.9.

 

they can be modded just like any supercharged car. pulley swap, the usuals. but if he's even close to stock you'll dominate that joker

 

Jesus, the OP said he wasn't stock. Read people. if he's pushing 220hp, he's gonna be MUCH quicker than stock. Stock they have 160hp. You're gonna have your hands full, but you should still be able to come out on top. Go from a dig, and you have a much better chance.......

 

well i looked up the quarter and it said 14.5 for john works 2003 so i figured thats what he should run with the 2004, sounds like it could be made pretty qucik though, thanks for the quick responses. damn now i wanna race and find out!

as for the 220hp i dont know he might be full of it, because he said he thoguh he had 220. Then i asked him if he bought it from the dealer with that stuff on or did he add it later. he said he bought it from the dealer like that, but he also said it was supercharged the new ones have a turbo, did the2004's with the john cooper works packagehave a supercharger or turbo? idk i think he mihgt be wrong on his hp numbers but who knows.

 

Don't sweat it, you got him easily. I seriously doubt he is up to 220hp. IF he is, then I would love to see a vid of that!!

my friend has an 07 mini cooper s, they come with turbo, he doesnt have much done to it but the *****er is fast..Superchargers are good with pulley swap... 04 mini s aint that fast but if he says he can go 0-60 5.2, watch out, i suggest u go off dig not roll
