i was over my friends house a lil while ago with my car and his dads friend pulled up ina 06 or newer gto. 6.0 6 speed. chip, catback and a intake. we were bsin for a lil while and he asked what i had done to my car and i said"well its in my trunk" he didnt want anything to do with me after that haha. a lil while later i asked if he wanted to go run from a slow roll with me off the bottle. he agreed and we went out. me in first gear, doin probly 25ish. 3 beeps and i just pulled so hard, probly 2 cars to 90ish mph then i went to grab 4th and missed it so bad. he got next to me, finally found 4th and we stayed dead even till 120.

befor i get murdered for this, he wasnt the best driver, its a new car and its his first fast car. im sure a gto with a intake, tune and catback would KILL me if it had a decent driver in it.

 

That's a nice way of putting it..I would say he sucks.

 

I'm pretty sure you can't use a "chip" on a GTO. Maybe you can, butmost just get them Dyno tuned since the dyno is cheaper thana chip or a handheld. No need for a piggy back or a handheld with them.

But yea, that GTO driver had to suck very, very, very, bad.

 

well its all about the driver, i say that guy does not deserved to drive an LS2. Those goats pull hard from a roll especially manuals.

PS: Huh You missed a gear and you still were dead even with him...HE MUST have missed a gear too or he just SUCKSSSSS DRIVING

 

Yes, you won completely due to driver.

The listed mods do very little to a GTO and there is no chip only tuners.

wasnt 05 the last year for the gto? i think there was only about 12000 sold for model year 05 so they quit makin em. pretty pathetic me thinks.not surprised though the car just looks so plain like so many other cars out there. at least from the side it ddoes.

 

That's what you'd think, but for some reason the guy that owned my car before me thought it was a good idea to get a chip. Blows my mind. Why get a chip, when you can get a handheld tuner with an uploaded custom tuned for almost the same cost.

Btw, good win. I don't get why everyone is so critical when people win races here. Anytime anyone on this site beats a respectable car there's a bunch of people lining up giving them crap. Chances are 9/10 that your not going to race someone with the exact same skill level as you, so that would mean 90% of the races out there are drivers races. So what's with all of the negativity? Give the guy the credit he is due, and leave your gay azz ehhh it's the driver comments to yourself. OF COURSE IT'S THE DRIVER! DON'T RAIN ON THE GUYS PARADE!
