How many times do we have to say this. It WAS NOT low prodution numbers that killed the GTO. It was a planed 3 year run from the start. It was never intended to be a high numbers car. Think 86/87 G.N. Although this still does not exscuss the fact that they don't run as well as they should IMO.

Actually GM quit making them forfour reasons:
1- It was a 3 year program
2- It was never really tested to meet US guidelines beyond 2006
3- There were going to be changes in Australia for the 2007 models
4- GM was moving focus to the sedan
