Something to Think about........
very "good" video there. Def. makes me think, a lot. Now its time to show this to little brother. He's currently riding the BMT (by my thumb) express for two years. He got caught street racing for the 2nd time in 4 days, and decided to run from the cops. The chase lasted about 20-25 min, but got called off after speeds reached 120mph, and he was "steadily pulling out of sight". The only reason he got caught was because the cop zoomed in on his license plate on his dashcam......
The moral of all this?? We all either are(at times) or know a "dumbass driver". I just don't think the boys' learned his lesson yet, because nothing happened to him. Now Im hoping to use this video as a potential tool for saving his life.

So what reality bugs you?
You play football your gonna get tackled, you box your gonna get hit. It's all really no different than if you are careless behind the wheel.
As for the cellphone comment I have watched someone ******* another while on a phone, watch them jump curbs while making turns, run stoplights and turn into other peoples lanes.
I would consider that observation not assumption.
When you drive a vette and ride a bike you tend to pay attention to everyone around you.

With all of the **** going on in the world right now why sit and worry about this guy?
I will openly admit street racing and nice bursts of speed are fun but only when the environment and situations are right.
I feel sorry for the innocent people that get caught up in other peoples bullcrap.
Just like the little bitches that think they need to be on there cell phones while driving.

Personally i kinda feel the same about cells, but some people have that ability to muli-task with no trouble at all and people who may need to be on the phone (ie: dispatch) should be able to. But its usually a case by case with me.
------
Mr.Rogers, yea i agree with you too. Besides i dont think pessimistic is the word "ignorant" is more like it.
-----
Driving that fast in wet conditions, well your just askin for something to happen.
But, dosnt sway from the fact that the aftermath of that accident is very real. And if even just for the moment that this guy learned a lesson an the severity of his actions gives me hope that otherswill learn to be more careful and less ignorant or more considerate for those around you and who love you. Time and place for everything...

To OP, thank you for posting that vid, hopefully it helps 97tplsGT's little brother an others too.

This young man has endured something thatmost could not handle. He is showing others theconsequences of reckless driving. A noble cause, even more appropriate since this is the street/strip section.I commend him.And I commendDanbogart for posting it. Only a tool like you would have a problem with that. You are such an idiot.

Screw you Mr.Rogers.
Clearly your priorities in life are different than mine.
I have friends that have died in Iraq, I have friends that have been injured in Iraq, I know people that have died due to complete neglegence of a drunk driver.
My point is a very valid one and anyone who doesn't agree is a few bricks short of a load. Sorry if I don't feel sorry for someone who does this **** than gets hurt or totals there car.
And oh Mr.Almighty Z06 doen't try to point me out as less than you either.

I know most drivers on this forum are responsible when it comes to their conduct on the road. Maybe by posting this video it may strike a chord with even one of those that may not be. I dont know the kid and really dont know much about what happened, but its one thing to learn from your mistakes and it takes serious guts to take the time and effort to help others learn from that mistake. Its amazing what taking ONE SECOND to stop and think can accomplish. Heres the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkyRvW1cBB4
And before you come accross saying "stupid srt punk", irresponsibility doesn't care what you drive.
