The Cobra would have to race past 135-140mph before going into 5th with those 3.73s. I'm like you Morbid, I think the SVT will get off the line with the gears and DRs andon top endthat M3 will become an issue. As long as they go from a dead stop and keep it under 130, it should be a good damn race.

How much HP do you have? To me M3's are not that fast. Ive beaten them before in my car and Ive also been beaten. It also depends if it has the SMG tiptronic or manual. But alot of the ones in my area are modded. I think you would most likely win. Your car stock is like 0-60 5.8 v.s 4.8. Its all up to your mods.

the M3 is built around autobahn speeds and the third gear in those things are just as nasty as an LS1's with it's advantage only getting bigger as the the gears roll on, I would say your drag radials coupled to your 3.73's will fair against the launch control better than thetop end... from a roll? maybe it's just my opinion but I say you don't have a prayer... also keep in mind with those 3.73's your 5th comes sooner and against anything german once a stang goes into 5th gear it's all over for the pony unless it has some sort of boost helping it through
anyways, from third gear on I just think the M3 would pull, so IMO you should be ahead from a stop, even if it's slightly

Btw...I consider a race up to 130. Anything past that and "i'm already done racing" IMO.
