Other than a 10.3 sec Chrysler K-car with a turbo 4 cyl ANNIHALATE a Turbo Supra on You Tube, I was around a bunch of heavyweights one night when this dude pulls up in a late 80's Cavalier coupe. Starts harassing a Viper owner to get him to race. After all the smack talk, it was on. The Cavalier handed the Viper its ***. When it was over,the Cav dude comes back and opens up the hood. Oh SNAP!!! a 383SBC was shoehorned in and the car was built in RWD mode. This Cav did NOT look the part, did NOT sound the part. Didnt look much better than ANY other old, ragged out Cavalier running around.

Oh yeah, There is also this fellow with a 5.0 in his Ford Aspire 4 door. He made a new hood and put on the biggest 14in wheels he could fit. Visually, thats all the changes. He delivers pizza around here with it. Granted, its not the most economical way of doing that, but it sure beats the heck out of a normal Aspire.

 

I've seen 90's Camaro's that look bone stock that have all kinds of crazy stuff done to them at my engine builders place. Same with 80's Corvettes.

3. Stock Appearing C4 Vette with an AFR Headed Stroker Small Block and N2O.
Low 11's NA and Low 10's on the juice.

I actually still get a smile when most people see my car run for the first time...

Sure, I do have a lot of 'show' mods and it's a nice looking car but not once has anyone ever expected it to run what it does as a full weight S197 street car...

I really think all the 'pretty' mods make it more surprising cause most people expect more show than go out of it.
