I saw a mid 12 second mid 80's impalla at the track, the thing was primer grey and looked all beat to hell

I couldn't figure out why he had drag radials on until I saw him race

And this car was a full weight street car, I don't know what he had under the hood[]

my friends got a 2004 Jetta TDI putting 370fwhp and 560ft/lbs at the wheels. looks pretty much stock other than rims and tires (he ran an 11.5 @ 135mph on slicks, forcably spinning them in 3rd). he road races it too, usually just puts the car into 4th or 5th around most tracks (Road America, 4th and 5th gears only!)

i'll see if i can find some pics

the best sleepers ever are the sleepers my tuner put's out IMO

stock block and transmission with a trilogy supercharger coupled with 4.10's
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0...a6179daf75.htm

mainly because they don't really have an exhaust note if you're just sitting next to someone.... but when it takes off it can pull LS3 vette times

I know of a guy with a newer Escalade with LS7 swapped in. On spray it runs mid 12's.

Saw an old beat to hell Monte at the track once. I wondered at the slicks on the back, but never thought too much about it until I saw it run 9.5x. Had the GN motor in it, and obviously had it running good.
