Mustangs are monsters out of the hole! But don't forget he has a lightweight flywheel and driveshaft. That makes all the difference when it comes to a roll race.

Do it at a track if possible. I racedan R/Tat the local 8th mile. Someolder guy. When we were staging he kept looking at me and smiling. First run i got him by about a car and a half. He lined up with me again and same outcome. However this could have easily been driver. But you wouldn't think so being an automatic and with that heavy of a car shouldn't have many traction problems. But i dont know

The lighter flywheel helps the engine wind out faster, so something I could see helping in a dig and not so much from a roll. But he -should- get him off the line pretty good so long as the guy is stock, if the car has a CAI, tune and exhaust the race will be much closer, but still in favor of the GT with his mods. From a roll I'm thinking it will be close, and if the R/T has those aforementioned mods an edge to the R/T.

Either way race him and find out

You guys need to quit calling the 99-04 GT a 13 second car.

As for stock R/T vs stock 99-04 GT here is a little refference.

Redstanger raced his moms 300C against a stock SRT-4 and it was a damn close race with the SRT-4 pulling up top.

So if a SRT-4 is a tad faster than a GT and the 300C weighs a few more pounds than a R/T the GT should loose or stay close.

haha yeah i remember. both my cars were out of order and i had class that day so i stole her car. Yea i had a hard time figuring out how to get that car to upshift right during a race. It kept wanting to skip a gear or not shift it. She has a new 2008 AWD 300c i havent drove that yet.[sm=badbadbad.gif]

With his mods the GT should be mid 13s, a stock R/T will be mid to low 14s -STOCK-, with a very good driver able to pull a high 13 (13.9x). Stock R/T vs. Stock New Edge it's a drivers race from what I understand, but his GT isn't stock so from a dig the win is in his court.

You definitely should have him. I beat a Cadillac CTS-V with less mods than you and they run 13.6's stock. The R/T has nothing on you!
ehhhh now way u beat cts-v those cars pre 08 has 469hp. how the hell you beat one of those with a new edge [sm=nothatway.gif]

^ No, you're thinking the STS-V. They have the 469 horse supercharged 4.4 Northstar. The CTS-V either had a 5.7 LS6 (04-05) or the 6.0 LS2 (06-07), both rated at 400hp and 395tq......
