Default Heel toe

Dunno if this is right section, but whatever...

I've been driving stick since I got my license 3 yrs ago but never tried heel-toe really, was just wondering how it benefits more than double clutching / plain old downshifting / just braking? Like, why would I heel-toe, how would it benefit me as a driver?
Thanks !

i think it is more for road racing. you see some of the nascar guys doing it on road courses. its basically so you can keep your foot over the gas pedal so when you down shift going into a turn, or around a turn, you can give'er hell coming out. supposed to save time inbetween shifts and gasing it, if you know what you are doing.

Oh I see. Still don't think it's worth it; i can just move my foot over to the gas quick enough usually. Whatever! I don't see the point of double clutching either, maybe I'm just retarded

A geo metro?? Is it because in ur sig it says you dont have a car?....so when ur "racing" do you shift from walking to speed walking, or do u hard core shift and start running? lol
