Default Ran a 2006 M3

its kind of a messy race, but none the less a race. i was on the way home from dropping my bro off at about 9:30pm. driving up the road allong side me comes an M3 (best guess is an 06). i immeadiatly dropped to second after a quick rev. we took off (launched on his start) and i'm pretty sure we both were having traction problems. (i know i was). but none the less, we were neck and neck through second. at the very top of second i turned traction control back on...BIG MISTAKE. i turned the traction control on thinking it MIGHT help... well, i power shifted into 3rd, the TC took over, shut me down, and cost me a good race. [:@][:@][:@][:@]!!

i've never had traction problems that bad before. i mean, i might as well have been doing an exibition burn out!let alone breaking the tires going into 3rd gear. that was one slick a$$ street. but a loss is a loss, and i gotta give the M3 credit for the win...THAT TIME!! ever since that race, my purpose in life while driving is now "M3 Hunter". i have to find either him or another similar one and see how i stand up against them.

i'll defenatly post results here if i find one soon.

You are having traction issues in second gear from a roll? Thats really weird with only 292rwhp.. I have a little over 300 and have never had a problemin second with street tireseven at like 45-50mph. Are you tires bald?

you say "only 292 rwhp" like its a bad thing...lol... the streets out here in vegas suck. (most of them anyway) and the tires as well as the car only have 3600 miles on them, so their far from bald. i run them at the manufactures recomended 32 psi at all times. my next investment is going to be better tires for sure. hopefully they will be on some steeda ultra-lights. but for now i'm runnin the stock pirelli 17's.

The temperature in the Vegas area appears to have beenin the30's - 40's at the time of your race. If so, then your car willdefinitely tend to fishtail at WOT in 1st and 2nd on stock tires, becausecold ambient temps greatly reduce your car's tractionby lowering the road surface temperature and hardening the tire treads, while simultaneously increasing your engine's torque output.
I know mine fishtails likea banditif I don't pedal it in 1st and 2nd when it gets cold in my area.

not to put you down, but the M3 would've won anyways. they arent an easily beaten opponent 414hp / 295tq

*SLAP* now you know why i have my T/C completely off, it is a waste of weight and "technology" you drive a mustang not an AWD sedan... Traction Control has never ever ever ever ever helped me at all, i got through our last snow storm with it off.
