GOT ME A HEMI!!
Lol, had to let some of the "red" outta me to say that one
After spending 5+ hours at the dealership, I finally landed a decent deal on an '04 Durango Limited w/ the all mighty 5.7L hemi. Awesome truck in general. The hemi doesnt do bad really, pulls more up top.
Now, its time to get rid of the Jeep. This is the wife's new ride, so out with the old in with the new. Buuuut, before we do, I have to line them up.
The Jeep has the 5.2L v8. And, Im not too sure about the weights, but the durango is huuuuuge compared to that jeep, so it might be interesting the first couple hundred feet.

Those things are brutal at the pump. My parents have an Aspen (Chrysler version of Durango)with the Hemi and the best I've seen it do, on the highway, was around 17mpg. I think it usually gets around 11 or 12 in town.
I guess my sarcasm on the issue wasn't evident enough? Of course the hemis are overrated. Thats why I used the redneck line with the redneck joke (im about half red myself, so it comes natural
) In that 4900 EW slug, its nothing really to brag about. Runs good for a suv.
As far as the truck itself, the ride is super smooth. Full options. A lot of the options our jeep had, i.e. heated leather, sunroof, stereo controls on steering wheel. But this has the 3rd row seats, tv/dvd in the back with remote, and a few other little goodies. I know this vehicle and tech. is old, 4 yrs old at least. But for a couple 24 yr olds, its a big step up from an already nice Jeep.
