Just how fast are the SRT Cherokees????


I only ask because one tried to run me the other day with my fiancee in the car...obviously I didn't for two reasons...KenneBell was in "bypass" mode and I'm running stock mustang wheels/tires on cold (dry) roads and would have had a heart attack ok thats three reasons.

 

They are smokin fast. They launch like a rabbit and will beast the C300 SRT8 and the Charger SRT8. High twelves stock if elevation is reasonable.

 

ive seen very low 13's stock out of a couple. really fast out of the hole

 

I think they are mid 13's stock. They are all wheel drive and would own you if you ran in sub optimal conditions, ie what you described above.

I drove one and they are pretty nice.

Henessey makes a kit that put out over 650hp. That would be a fun grocery getter.

Oh and your thread will get moved out of here by the mod, just so you know.

 

My buddy has one, ran 13.48when completely stock. With exhaust, CAI, and predator tune, he ran a 13.16. AWD and auto makes them all pretty consistent. Noteasy to screw up a launch with those bad boys.

 

Low 13's, high 12's for some. However, with mods, they run mid 12's consistently. They are fast for SUV's. But a Charged S197 will walk on 99% of them. Provided they don't have something under the hood.

 

0-60 4.6 seconds. Just mash the gas and you're off!

 

I still love the ad I saw in a magazine......0-60 in under 5 seconds......wet or dry

 

I don't believe a stock SRT8 Cherokee has ever been measured at 4.6 0-60, but they are about 5.0, or about the same as a stock Mustang GT. They do have 425 hp, but are a much heavier vehicle.

 

I sell Jeeps, and I just drove one for the first time last week. It was pretty quick, I'll tell you that. I think the only place I'd stand a chance against one would be nearing triple digits. This thing rocks out of the hole.
