Yeah. The pwnage fuggin flowed on this one. Although, I am slightly impressed that I held him off for as long as I did.


Went down like this. I was working (haha *innocent*) and my 3rd run of the night took me down US 24. Once you get outside of the city it opens up to two lanes, goes under I469 and then after the light closes down to 1 lane each way again.

So here I am with a pizza bag on my seat, and my cartopper on the window (I hate those things) checking to make sure this Neon that's been tailgating me isn't going to try to pass me as I was coming up to the exit ramp light which had just turned red for us.

I'm stopped at the light and I notice these hyperwhite lights in the right lane coming up at about the speed limit...

I'm thinking, he's going to try to go around us all... bastage.

At this point I think "let's see if I can stop him from getting ahead of all of us" So I pop it into first, rev the engine to 2500, and nail the launch pretty well. As I start to wind first gear to 8000 rpm I check and he was about 6 cars back coming up quick on me.

2nd gear comes up. I nail it into second and floor it, 5700 rpm... I continually check and see his headlights appear in my mirror and slowly continue to creep up on me.... 6200 rpm... 7000 rpm.... 8000 rpm... I SLAM it into third.

Check the car... what the ****? He's RIGHT NEXT TO ME...... and still pulling.

At 90 I slam it into 4th and try to push the damn pedal through the floor board. Half way through fourth he's ahead of me..... and not a second too soon either.

If he was just 1 second slower he would have ran out of road, and been riding the shoulder. That's about where the highway comes back together into one lane each way.

He calmly puts on his signal and pulls over, having put 2 car lengths on me. [sm=smiley22.gif]

I'm just in awe of what just happened, I tap the brakes to start slowing down. I get down to 70 and flash my headlights at him. I see his hand come up waving at me, then he goes around the car that holds him up and floors it. Within 5 minutes I couldn't see him anymore.

I can't figure this out though... some sites have the 740iL rated with a 4.0L V8 making 306 hp and 288 ft lbs torque, running 15.7 in the 1320...?? I dunno how the hell he pulled on me like that unless he's one rich mother and that thing is Modded to all hell and back.

After this happened I think I'm going to go with my original plan of boosting the b16a to 7 psi and controlling it with a hondata chipped P28, & a Greddy Profec boost controller.

I need a boost.


Something weird happened after that braking at God knows how fast I was going, my rears decided to stop the grinding. They'd been sticking for a month, and I'm going to change them tomorrow, but for some strange reason they just aren't doing it anymore. w00t.

My buds got a 745iL i think it is, and let me tell you. those things pull hard. I dunno what they are rated at hp wise, but tongiht we were goin to pick up our pizzas at the italian pie shoppe and a lexus passes us doin about 100, so we catch up to him cruzin at 100 and we nod and just go, and man even at 100 those things throw you ahrd into you seat. we topped it out one night at 145? mabe wehn teh governor wouldnt let us keep goin, we still had more gear though. Their auto trannies are so night, and the power is unbelivable for how heavy of a car they are. Pretty good to hold em off for as much as you did, cause one they get goin, youll blink and miss em [:-]

most or all bmws are nice... my friend owns an m3 pretty stock except for xenon light mods and exhaust.... but its pretty quick , he just sold it for 18 grand and is buying a 540 which he test drove... the owner hit 130 on the highway for him... but it was all open, barely cars.... and the car is bein gsold for a little more then 19 grand or aroudn that but now just recently he told me he might go for another m3 but more recent year

Yeah. the 745iLs have a 4.4 with 325 hp, not much difference, but I can't believe the way those fuggers pull. Those things are HUGE.

I don't get how he pulled me in like that.

He wasn't doing 100+ He was coming up on a redlight that I was sitting at.

A 540i (290 hp) tried to do something like that to me. We were on a big curvy ramp going from one highway to another and he was riding my ***. Just as expected, when we got to the highway and more lanes opened up he tried to whip around me. I let him get alongside me before I punched it. He put up a good fight but I still embarrassed his Bimmer-driving ***.

Sweet... They way more than fuggin mars, so from a roll you probably coulda beat him, but since he was already at 40-60mph or so, he had a big advantage.
