Modded C6 goes down
I call it modded due to it's exhaust. It sounded like a full exhaust (header back) but I could have been wrong since I didn't get a chance to ask. All I know is the damn thingshook my gutsit was so loud.
My car is down in my sig below @9.5 psi. Don't know rwhp but trap 116-117 in the 1/4.
So as I sit in traffic heading back to my hotel, imagining the taste of a great beer, I see a georgous red C6 Vert pull out of gas station. He pulls right next to me and revs, thenproceeds to take off like his hair was on fire, all the while I listen to him go through gears of great sounding ride. Not wanting to turn down an invitation, I make U-turn at the light and catch up. I pull right up beside him @50 mph in 3rd (I have 4.10's and this is my dead spot in third but a tad to high high to start in 2nd). He non-chaluantly glances to his left and sees me there giving him the eye. He kind of does a double take and his eyes get big (I actually laughed). He moves towards his shifter (whileI begin to brake boost) and he takes off jumping 2 cars immediately. I stop his forward movement and after he grabs the next gear I sling shot by. We do this one more time only with a little more room where I get it into 4th. Both times I passed him just alittle bit into 3rd and continued to just walk away after that.
We slow down and he pulls right next to me and says, "Damn, what you got in that thing. Nitrous?" I told him it was turbo'd and he asked where we could go "run'em". I had no idea but didn't really have a chance totalk since the light turned green. I followed himto the next light and he motioned for me to follow him. We made another u-turn to an empty two lane sperated by a raised median. It looked just like the drag strip amazingly enough. no side streets connecting in or any cross traffic. This time we started at a 30 roll (my sweet spot andI hate rolls BTW). He started first, no honks, and it was pretty even through 2nd.I was spinning but maintaining right next to him. Third gear, I pulled 2 cars and 4th was another 2-3. I had had enough and we were entering the city, so I stopped screwing around and headed back to the hotel.
By far this was the best race since the turbo.
And he was pretty cool for a Vette owner.

I would never call a Vette owner anything because I firmlybelieve in respecting my elders!

Everybody is optimistic with the times they might get but I think after doing some question asking, I think I could get into the 11.80's as it sits now. In April I will go race in Redding when they actually prep the track. I was pulling 1.8 60' last time with a good track and 2.0 with an unprepped.
I'm planning a new Detroit locker with 3.55 or 3.73 gears to be done by the end of this month. I think these gears ( and my new clutch) may give me a few more MPH and could help pull me to the high 11's. 4th/5th gear would slip before where the new 600 lbs rated clutch doesn't slip anymore.

You have now qualified for the next round. Your opponent? Mr. Rogers
Nice run - not all 'Vette owners are dicks. Just most of them.

That is very funny Bluebeast. And I would love a race with a Z06. Not that I think I would win but it would give a great fight.

A new ZO6 will trap 122-124 mph so they have you there, but you might be able to out 60' them and not have them catch you.
