85 LX 5.0
alright i had an 85 LX 5.0 that my wife made me get rid of about 5 years ago, so i sold it to my cousin and about a year before i had a jasper engine with a mild cam put in it when i blew my old engine with a full exaust. my question is the only thing he had done to it was installed a stall converter over and changed it from FI to carb, but hes saying he ran a 13.2 with it in th 1/4. do you think hes BSn me or is that possible, also the jasper motor we put in it we went from the flat to the roller motor.
Well first of all if you had a Automatic TBI motor the switch to a Carb would be a huge improvement.
If the Jasper motor was a rebuilt 1987+ with E7 Heads and a mild roller cam like the "E" + a decent aluminum intake its possible.
I mean stock longblocks have went faster than that. However my bet is the car ran closer to 14.2 than 13.2.
