ok, these LT4's......what was the difference between them and the LT1 ? and what year 'Vette's were they in? and if possible, power numbers ?
Rated at 330 hp. 96 stick shift Vettes all got the LT4 and the above mentioned F-bodies.

No, I dont think so. The only big differenace would be the intake setup. As far as I know unless it has a LT4.
I dont think they ever put an LT4 in the camaro from the factory. They were only for corvettes. I'm pretty sure the higher models had better intakes and stuff.
I am late..I am sure this was said...

But they did.

It was the 1969CorvetteZL-1 (Like the Camaro ZL-1)
It was the 1990-1995 Corvette ZR-1
and now the new 2009 Corvette ZR-1

There was also the original ZR1 which was avaialble in the 1970-1972 Corvette C3. It was a roadracing package that came with the Solid Lifter LT1 Small Block anduninstalled fiberglass fender flares including otherhardcore parts. If memory serves total production was around 50 for all three years total.

There was also the 1971 ZR2 which was the big block version of the ZR1. It included the LS6 454/425 Aluminum Head Engine.
If memory serves there were 8 cars produced. It was originally intended for 1970 production with the LS7 454/465 (the 454 replacement for the L88). Zora was never able to secure approval for this engine.

To add to that they had High Port Cylinder Heads, Intake Manifold, 1.6 Crane Roller Rockers, and different camfrom the factory.
When you added it up many of us thought the stated 30 bhp difference was suspect.
LT4 is to the LT1 as the LS6 is to the LS1.

All the 6-speed Vettes got the LT4 in '96? I thought they were a relatively low-production special edition. My buddy has one and it's pretty sweet.

That is accully the 2000 ZL1 Concept. The orginal ZL-1 was the 1st gen back in the 60s. And while the 2000 ZL-1 is one of my favorite muscle cars ever. There was only 2 made.

Yes they all got the LT4 in 96. Look into how many 96 6 speed Vettes were made, it's not very many. If recall correctly Sidwayz's dad had one back then.
