driving lessons you say? ive probably made a few hundred passes down the 1/4 in the past few years. i bet a large sum of cash no street tired rwd/fwd car on this forum can do better than 2.3 at temple raceway. the large group of evos and stis are getting 2.1s at best. the people that have been here awhile say they dropped .75 to 1 second from a theyre back home track.

A. You're probably using the wrong tires. I have 2.73 gears and a stock converter and race at a world-class NHRA strip and I can't hook up with rain tires. Get drag tires. I woulda thought that this was common sense.[&:]
B. You'd better do some work to that '01 Mustang GT before you try to wave any timeslips in the faces of Evolution and STI drivers.

im in killeen texas. ft. hood to be more precise. im not in the mountains, and the track in oklahoma is called thundervalley raceway. one of many thundervalleys. i did not have time to put on my dr's, so i rolled on my 255/40 17 champiro street tires, with around street pressure at the track. yeah i know, big no no. i honestly was expecting around 2 flat cuz my 03 with 4.10s barely busted into the 1s. i also was aware of how ****ty temple is, but the pastseveral weeks it has rained, so i guess it just got worse without anyone running on it. and bluebeast, no sarcasm needed. i was not racing the evos and stis, i was going to prove that a near stock gt could break into the 13s.
seriously, is there anyone else here whos ran at temple. i would wager its in the top 5 most ****ty tracks nationwide. i know its the worst ive ever been on.
