those cars were about 210 hp stock... and thy are very easy to modify... you can see 400 hp from bolt ons with stock internals. all he would have needed is a boost controler and an intake to keep right by yourside, anymore than that and you would have been looking at tail lights.
Doesn't change the fact that the initiator of this race has a3400 lb car and a list of parts that makes in the area of 220-230 HP to the wheels. You can say the eclipse has all the modifications in the world..you can say he's making 400HP but fact is fact...power to weight is power to weight and no matter what color the sky is the GT will run 14's.
and so will the eclipse... i love when people talk about things they dont really know... an eclipse gs-t is so easy to get a 14 out of it isnt even funny... do some reasearch... besides why r u slamming on the original poster... i think this was a very valid post... no need to be a dick...
Why...because he wants to hear that the eclipse is running 10's in twin turbo form, because he's racing on the street...because you're involved enough to even worry about what i think...relax guy with the CAI in his mod list Geez.
Number one, it's NOT twin turbo. Never in my life have I ever seen nor heard of a twin turbo DSM. Just is not pratical. Number two, to those who seem to think the Eclipse weighs over 3500lbs. lol Those cars just barely squeak 3000 if your lucky. My 99 GSX, fully loaded leather interior, with 18" rims just barely hit 3100lbs and that was AWD. The verts were never made in AWD so we know that he don't have that.
From the sounds of the race, the guy probably had intake, exhaust, and the boost turned up on the stock turbo, low 14 second car.
