So this guy with an srt-4 putting out 21 psi and some bottom end stuff wantsto race me and i have an 03 mach 1 with exhaust and possibly gears? i bought it from a ford dealer out here and they werent sure what was done to it exactly but the gear box is chrome so i assume its not stock. At 70 on the highway i am doing right at 2 grand so if anybody knows if thats stock or not. He claims it runs mid 12's but i havent seen that. I was just wondering how the race will go just so I know what to expect.
Also this is kind of off topic but since I have exhaust should i get an intake and intake spacer and things for my first mod to the car or is there a better option? Havent ever messed aroundwith a 4.6.

 

If The skittle is big turbo at 21 psi your doomed. If it's just some goofy kid with the boost cranked up way to high on the stock set-up you should be ok.

 

I think he has the boost turned up but he says he has about 320 up at the wheels whicch is almost as much as me at half the weight I kinds think I'll lose but just wondering what you guys thought

It all comes down to what he has done and why he's running 21 lbs.

If he's running 21 lbs because he has bigger injectors and a way to tune it [possibly modified stock turbo] then you wll probably lose.

If he's running 21 lbs because he thinks the more you crank on a wga the more power you have, you'll probably win.

If he really has 320 to the wheels, I don't see you winning a roll race. Now from a dig, it's different but who knows.

Iseem to think hes got me too but my knowledge about neons is 0. To be exact on what he has is a stage 1 upgrade from mopar which is ecu and injectors. I might be getting 1.6 rr's, and intake spacer before we race too if that makes any difference.

 

Stage 1 SRT-4s don't put anywhere near 320 to the wheels. If he is stage 1, you'll rip him a new one. Sounds like he is BSing about his power to the wheels and PSI.

 

As everyone knows im not an expert in boost cars but if he is running 21 psi on stage 1 pcm and stage 1 injectors then hemay not berunning enough fuel and the computer will send retard timing and loose power and you will win. Buti might be wrong Scenario2: I might be right and your friend does not **** about his car LIKE ME [&o].

Scenario3: He is totally b****ing you and he will lose !!!

Scenario4: He def has upgraded turbo like ME , and toast you.
