Well ive gota few months untill I leave for the Air Force and in that time I want to build a strip. Just somthing I can drive on the street and drag on the week ends. And I was hoping you guys could help me out.


My goal is to have a mid 13 second car. But the down side to the entire thing is ive only got till June to do it. ( I leave on the 3rd) I was curious what would be the easiest and simplist/cheapest build that I could do. (this will basically be a junk yard type build)


I was thinking about getting a raged out Fox and putting a 350 (chevy becuase I think this might be the cheapest way im open to suggestions). in it. (port and polished heads/cam intake)



So any suggestions or parts id need?

 

If your looking for cheap just find a fox body 5.0 or an Iroc Camaro with a 350. Both have good aftermarkets so modding the motor should be easy. Both are pushrods also, so changing cam & heads wont be as hard. Strip out the intire interrior and try to find a light weight racing seat for a reasable price. Change out the gears for a steeper gear, somthing over 4 to 1. And put on some drag radials.

Every thing that is not essentail to the car's drivetrain should go. All the A/C, all the carpets, and all the extra seats and crap.

Both cars with full bolt ons & some interinal work can be very fast.

 

Im just trying to think of what the cheapest route will be....I dont wana buy a complete car witha motor in it. I figure I could find a blown 4bananger/sixxer Fox body or F-body. and just build it from there. Im not lookin for nothing fancy I just wana cheap build like I said maybe some stuff that can come outa junk yards or what not.
