how would i fair up against a type r ? my friend has a 2000 integra and swapped in a type-r motor and pretty much wants to race every1 now.

Get an intake and tuner and you've got him. Otherwise it's probably a driver's race, from what I can tell. I'm guessing he'd be toast from a stop though.

As long as he hasn't added any nitrous or blower of any type it will be a close race with the edge to you but if he has added any serious go fast goodies to the type r engine the edge will be to him

well i have the same stuff as u except for an h pipe and i got smoked by a civic the other day and it didnt sound like it had a turbo so dont underestimate him if its really a type r engine and hes a good driver ur toast.

my buddie has a type r swap in a integra with only a intake and exhaustwith a tunerunslow 9's in the 1/8th mile.

I think he will probably take you. I know of a guy who ran a 14.9 with an Integra GSR. The Type R motor has another 30 horses on the GSR motor.

He will probably beat you. He has the same if not more horsepower, and weighs less. Torque will give you the edge off the line, but he'll pull you back in. It'd be alot closer if you had an intake and tune.
