One quick Jeep.
So I pull up to a light last night which is two lanes. About 1/8 of a mile on the other side of the light it goes down to one lane so you need to merge.Everyone is aware of it (signs everywhere). So I'm in the left lane with about six cars directley behind mewaiting for the light to turn green when this Jeep SUV pulls up on my right side.I kind of chuckle and think to myself this guy picked the wrong time to try to blow past everyone else in line.I have 4.10 's so in traffic it's not uncommon for me to take off in 2nd gear. The light turns green and sure as sh*t this guy guns it.So I jump on it as well.I don't know if taking off in second was such a good idea but the guy stays dead even with me.He eventually had to slow down and fall in behind me but I thought I should haveput atleast a couple of cars on him easily. For the record I always choose the right lane when it's backed up as well 99/100 there isn't anything at the light that I can't beat across the street. But I'm a D*ck like that.I have no Idea what chrysler is dropping in those things but it's alot of bang for the buck.
I don't know what the new engines are, but 03 grand cherokee I used to have had the HO V-8, and was rated at 340HP.. I don't know if that's crank or wheels though.. The new HO's are supposedly making close to 400, but again, don't know if that's crank or RWHP.. I don't know about the gears in the new one's either.. Wouldn't surprise me that they're quick off the line though.. they've got bitchin torque, just not much top end..
the srt8 grand cherokee is capable of mid to low 13 second ETs, although ive never seen one do it in person.
there is a guy who races at norwalk with a 4.0L inline six, that runs in the low 12s...

That doesn't surprise me either.. the Jeep inline six is torquey and you can wind it up high than all hell, almost like a rotary.. Be interesting to see how much you can really push out of one before you break it..
