3.4L and I used to beat them with my 3.1L Cutlass.. (ran a friend more times than I can remember and it was close for a bit then I would slowly creep)... this was with a 16 second car.

lol. You speak the truth. I've had both a 94 Cutlass Supreme 2door with the 3.1and a 94V6 5speed Camaro. With the 5speed, I think the Camaro was a little faster, but I could see the Cutlass edging it out if the Camaro's an auto. Those 3.4's are such piles of crap. An SHO of any year shouldn't have any problem with one.

yeah it was the auto... didn't know anyone who had the 5 speed...

Yeah. The 5speeds atleast had enough get-up to take down single port 3.8 Mustangs though. I had a love-hate relationship with that car. I loved it for a while, until it took a dump on me 2 months after buying it. The 3.4 has to be the crapiest V6 that GM has ever built. I think it may even be worse than the 2.8.

Wow i sure hope not. I have a friend with an 89 Firebird with that 2.8 in it and it is horrible. My dad has a basic stripped down 2001 Ranger 5spd with the 3.0. I beat his firebird in it. It is very weak.
