RE: 1/4 mile times
The 20" rims will slow you down considerably. I had a friend that ran 14.7 stock(automatic convt) then he put 18" rims on it with CAI and Magna flow exhaust and his time never changed. The best he could get was a 14.7. That was just moving one size up and it equaled a cat back exhaust and CAI. So going with 20" you may see 15's in the 1320.

I had an auto '04 GT and I had no problem beating B-18 Honda's. Autotragic can beat b-18s with very few mods. In fact I ran dead even with a Civic Hatch with a B-18 C5R when I was STOCK.

But I’m game anyway, even if it is irrelevant to this thread.
Let’s analyze this statement though, shall we? Because something about it doesn’t seem right...
1. A B18C5R is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) DC2 Integra Type R engine. It makes 200BHP, and the transmission is very good for utilizing its power band.
2. A Honda Civic hatch back (depending on the year and model) weighs between 1900 and 2200lbs.
3. A late model (e.g. the heavier version) Civic hatch, with a properly installed B18C5 will be in the mid 13s on street tires and with a full interior.
Just for reference, my engine makes 170WHP. Given the standard 15% drive train loss for FWD cars, I’m making 200BHP. My car weighs 2650lbs without driver or gas, and I managed a 14.4@96MPH. As you can see, though, my car is a good amount heavier then any model hatch.
So basically you are telling me that with a stock automatic 99-04GT you have "no problem" beating cars modified as such? I highly doubt that. I’m not calling you a liar, but I think you are either mistaken as to what you raced or the guy with the car you raced was either a liar him self, or had very shotty quality work done on his swap. I mean even a bad driver should be able to manage mid to low 14s with that car under the worst dry conditions.
Just something to think about...
Oh and way to be subtle on your shot at me there. However, you seemed to have missed.

14.6 stock with my big *** in the car and ****ed up Torque Converter. I guess an auto isn't that slow. You have to live in high altitude to have them getting those #'s.

manual? With above average driving, low 14sm easy. I usually see most people pulling mid to mid-high 14s though. Then again a majority of people ot there cant drive worth shyte.
edit: Oh, and for an autotragic? Id get some mods or else I wouldnt bother, less you are going to be bracket racing.

But you arent talking about a stock car, right? I was. I was also talking about the average times Ive sen run in said cars.

Oh I really could care less what he beat. The only reason why I replied was because he took a very obvious cheap shot at my car for no apparent reason.
The guy asks what times his Mustang runs. I give my answer and then this member (no pun intended, I swear) here decided to talk about how he beats "B18C5R Civic" with "no problems"? Yea, Id say he was talking a little trash in a round about way there, and that’s something I don’t really take too kindly to.
edit: oh and 20" rims? Bwhahahahaha!

But you knew that.
b18c5 - usdm
b18c spec r - jdm
5 hp difference really isn't that much though. Still would be nice to have 195 hp & 8500 rpm to play around with

ok, ok.... so first and most importantly, im not a guy. but why you wanna hate on the rims?? i wanted 18's but the 20" were cheaper. I couldn't resist.
and since im in an import club, i am rather enjoying this bit of honda banter.

20" rims are heavy, add to unsrpung weight. What that means is, it is harder to turn them because they weigh so much more. They will slow down your acceleration and make stopping distances longer. Lighter wheels can be worth up to a second in the 1/4 over certain stock cast aluminum wheels. Sure they might look good, but they dont do much for performance. They arent hating on the rims, just informing you, ok?

Wow, you beat a civic? That’s awesome...because... you know... that has so much to do with the thread and what the poster asked. Right?
But I’m game anyway, even if it is irrelevant to this thread.
