so why all the talk of the LS1 > termie?
i always thought stock for stock the termie = mid 12`s
and the LS-1`S were high 12`s
both with experienced drivers

That is about the right times for both cars with good drivers.

I say it again..

Termi > LS1

I can't believe that it is even a discussion.

Its not really a discussion about them 2 stock for stock, people were just saying that with bolt ons and a cam the LS1 would destroy the Termie, and that the Termie has to have atleast 40-50rwhp more than an LS1 for it to win.

Well, a Termi has roughly 70rwhp on an LS1 fbody and, with equal drivers, will run a few tenths quicker. I'm no genius, but, I think that another 20whp for an LS1, should bridge that gap.

Anyone that doesn't walk all over a stock Termy in a bolton/cam car deserves to drive a car with less than 2.0 liters of displacement for as long as they live.

Both cars are great platforms. I've seen exhaust/lid/175hp shot LS1 cars dipping into the 10's, and then I've seen ported/pullied Cobra's dipping into the 10's. That's dirt cheap to do on both sides of the plate.

To the OP, what all is done to the guys motor? I've seen heads/cam cars make 440rwhp on stock internals. If he sprays a 125 shot, he should easily see mid 500's and over 600rwtq.

Maybe he'll want to run from a 100mph kick then.... Sounds like a hell of a driver.

Nice car btw. And solid axle FTW.

Decent altitude and weather should be prerequisites as well.
