Estimated 2002 WRX 1/4 Time.
Ok I've been trying to get a buddy of mine to take his wrx to the track to see what it will run...thought I'd try getting an estimate here if anyone might know. He bought this car as is with this mod list from the previous owner.
This is from his myspace message.
Find that list of mods that guy sent you and forward it to me. Then I can tell you about what you will run in the 1/4.1. Coil-over suspension (I forget what brand - started w/ a "J" I think)
2. TurboXS turbo-back exhaust w/ high flow cat and secondary cat bypass (the bypass keeps check engine lights from throwing due to one of the converters being removed for flow)
3. Roll bar stabilizer (was originally pink so I painted it white - this is located under the hood near the windshield, the bases are round and the shaft is chrome)
4. Power pulley system (red - you can only see it if you remove the grill)
5. Custom designed grill.
6. Front mounted intercooler w/ chrome piping and blue silicone sleeves (11 hour job that a friend and I completed from 6pm - 5am in a single day; brand is imprinted on the front side of unit where the sleeves connect).
7. Modified blow off valve (no one will ever have that exact sound as you, as I had a friend who was a blacksmith reshape the sound horn for a different "sneeze").
8. Hi friction limited slip clutch (rated as tier 2)
9. Momo shift ball (original had a clamp at the bottom, which is why the shift boot kind of falls down the shifter a bit - no clamp on the momo)
10. STI stainless shifter trim (took me forever to dremel the exact size for that thing).
11. STI fog lamp covers (which I had to hand paint the emblems on - as the ones I bought didn't come with a stencil)
12. K&N performance air filter (needs to be cleaned or replaced by the way - been on there for 2 years)
13. Manual boost controller (don't attempt adjusting it - I spent months getting the ratio optimized; you can destroy the engine if tuned impropery, so I won't even bother telling you where it is)
14. custom deck spoiler w/ LED brake lamps
15. STI trunk emblem (though its not actually an STI, but will outrun the same year model STIs - so I thought it earned its badge)

RE: Estimated 2002 WRX 1/4 Time.
My guess is a high 13 maybe. I know a couple of guys with lightly modded WRX's that aren't even in the 13's. I don't really know how much power a FMIC would give, but, I doubt it'd make a half second, or more, difference on a basically stock car, with catback.

Yes, then you would be cool, and be faster than LS1's.
