I was just driving my Taurus wagon home and was at a stop light. There its a 4 way and i see a AWD Eclipse turbo lined up against a GTO. It was pretty funny. Their light went green and the eclipse just hauled *** off the line and left the GTo, then it looks like the eclipse is stanging still and the GTo just Blast by him and puts quite a few car lenghts on him. Now i know where i can find a Silver GTO to race.

 

Nice.....yea that Eclipse should have taken him out of the hole, GTO's are dogs from a dig. But he should reel him in, like he did. Go out there and get that GTO casper, lol, spray on him for sure!

 

Yeah i raced one a while back when they first came out and i had him at my rear bumper. I wasnt sure if he couldnt drive or missed a gear.... But a win is a win. lol. I was excited now he wont play with me anymore [:'(] It was black. If/When i see the silver one on the streets i'll make sure to keep the bottle open. So when he starts pulling on me which i know he will, i'll just flip the sswitch and see ya!

 

I've never seen a GTO on the road and you've seen two?? He will wonder what happened when you suddenly flew by. Maybe he will get upset and sell his goat for a pony...

 

GTO's aren't dogs off the line, just not easy to launch.

Yep they have IRS, they run better if you restart the ECM, but who does that on the street? If you drop some pounds out of it they will run better. They are marketed as a "Premium Personal Sedan" not a sports car, hot hod, or anything like that. Hence the stupid price, leather everything, power everything, kinck knacks and doodads. Think BMW M5 or Mercedes SLK500 and you will get the idea.

BMR has one either in the tens or knockin on the door, so they have the potential. Its just some suspension pieces and a shot of N2O away....
