Default Mid 13's possible?

Well, I'll be running my '00 at the track for the first time. This is not my first time racing, just the first in this car.

I've had the car for about a year and the 3.73's were installed at the end of last summer. The car feelsvery fast and I'm expecting a run well into the 13's.

What do you guys think? I have not weighed my car, but the title says it weighs 3105 pounds. I believe this number since I don't have power seats or cruise control.

I'd be happy with a 13.6, since I've seen that 13.9's are not out of question with a stock GT with the 3.27's and more weight.

I wouldn't expect a mid 13, especially if it is your first time running the car. If youv got a nice set of tires and a driver mod it is definetly possible, but id bet on a 13.8-ish

Thanks. I just ask because I saw about 4 tenths when I put 4.10's in my '89 TA. Went from 14.8's to 14.4's. I could'nt break 100 MPH though.

well, just becausehe isgonna run that car first time "at track" doesn't mean he is gonna suck at driving it. he has owned the car for a year and he knows the car pretty well and i am sure he has raced or at least got on that thing on the streets plenty of times. Plus he has been to track before so i definetely wouldn't say,he will suck at it since it is the first time with that car.

If you are a good driver (I mean good), air is cool and nice, I have a feeling, you may run like 13.7-8. mid 13s is kinda fast for a stock GT with only gears IMO.

let us know how you do!

Don't go to the track with mid 13s as your goal because you might be disappointed, go hoping to run low-mid 14's is you're on street tires. It also depends on the track, if your track is notorious for sucking, then you might not due so well unless you got DRs. I think 14.3-14.5 for your first time if its a 5spd.
