Unless he's pushing an insane amount of boost you should smoke him. The thing about him only running for cash would make me a little wary however... Generally people who only run for cash do so because they have VERY fast cars. He could just be stupid though

3v's make pretty damn good power from a dig its gonna be a beating unless he rolls in on slicks and skinnies as well. If both cars are "dressed" alike it should be a great race good luck

^^^+1. Going on the info you have about your car low 11s should be no problem as long as you can hook, and unless this guy can drive the ***** off the car you should have it.

Normally the 'race for cash' bait is a bad sign and my first response would be to say no. I would never race any car sight unseen for cash. Jesus, what if it was my car rolling up on slicks?...[8D]

However, having said that, the key word was 20's

If he is rolling on 20's then you can pretty much count that he doesn't know how to or have the goods to hook any kind of significant power. If anything, the car may be a dyno queen and he 'thinks' it's fast.

I say go for it - my bet is you will destroy him.

I'm not that good at guessing what someone should run, but I do have a S/C S197. He probably wont be any better than a low 12's(with 20's and all). If you can top that, definetly go for it.

You an easy low 11 car with traction. He is toast.
yea thats what im hoping for. when i get out of work on sunday i may head to the track.

he jd i just did some lower control arms relocating brackets. 1 of the best mods by i think. wheel hop is gone but i still on street tires.

what do u think about em?
they are a 100% must have if the car is lowered, on a stock ride height car theya re not so needed, I don't have them and I never get wheel hop, my 60's are usually in the 1.5's.
As for the blown 3V, yes they can put up some big numbers, however I have not raced one yet that was a match for me, even with me staying on motor. I know they are out there and there are a few on this site that would beat me, but I have just not run into any at the track yet. You have to remember that most blower cars are running a centrifical blower, which means that the off idle torque is not that great, a nitrous car on the other hand gets a HUGE TQ hit right away. It's all going to come down to you being able to hook. From the info we have I don't see the S197 in question running better than a mid/low 12 at best.
