As I was leaving the parking lot I noticed an aquaintance of mine walking out to his car and waving and grinning at me. I went over and saw that he had just picked up a TT stealth as a project car, the body has a lot of dings and scratches and could use some work so it is a fixer-upper. He pulls beside me and revs it up a little and I can hear a little bit of whirring from the turbos and he starts talking a little bit of trash. He mentions that his car is like a "super car" and twin turbo'd and almighty, halfway joking and halfway seriously. He also says that mine just looks like I have some fancy hoodscoops and not else so I ask him if he wants to find out for fun. We get out onto the road and he says, "I'll let you have the hit." I just laughed and said, "okay, I am going to go right now." I give him a second because I figure he is going to do the wild awd launch but he doesnt. So I take off and have about a half car lead out of the hole. As it shifted into second I looked back and pulled to about 3 more car lengths and held that lead all the way to 105 and then I shut down. We met up at the end of the road and he said he felt like a big fool for talking! I couldnt believe I pulled on him and did it the entire time with the top down! To say the least, it really made my day.

Nice kill, but if you took him out of the hole the guy couldnt drive his car for shat unless you have some bad *** mods and a buttload of traction. Hes got AWD and 320 horses (stock). I could see you pulling on him after the first few gears, but to get him off the line would mean hat he bogged all sorts, or his car is running for crap.

 

Why the hell are you here. All you do is talk about how slow Mustangs are and how everytime they win it's becuase of a bad driver. If you don't like seeing Mustangs win stop reading things on this site. Go back to Honda Tech with your ricer buddies. Good kill on the Stealth.

 

JoeB18R - I did not take him out of the hole. He just told me to go and as soon as I moved he would take off too. I just started out with a 1/2 car lead because of his reaction time to me moving. He also did not do a 5k rpm clutch drop like most awd drivers will do. I started out with a 1/2 car lead and pulled to 3 cars total by the time I shut down at 105. He probly isnt the best driver either, but not-so-good drivers are part of the game and sometimes the reason why you can win when the odds arent in your favor.

Like I said in my original post, I was surprised (and happy) with the outcome. Especially for only being a vert with the top down and an auto.
