06 GT vert vs 99 twin turbo 3000 gt VR4
Ok first off we also own a Dodge Stealth R/t T/T (twin turbo, all wheel drive , all wheel steering) It has 102K miles and was a very fun car! I have always wanted to know how it matched up against the new 06 GT Mustang. But I never had the chance to compare the to head to head. Well a few days back I was crusing along with the top down and this Vr4 came up and wanted a little GT action. I gave him the nod and we went from about 35 to 120. Knowing full well what those Twin turbos can do when spooled up I didn't let him get up on full boost before I just put the hammer down. I pulled about 2 lengths on him then at about 65 here he came! (our Stealth is a 6 speed and full boost in third gear is a monster on the highway) so from about 60 or so until 100 he caught me and put at least 2-3 car lengths on me. So basicly made up my good jump and then some! So we pull over and we start talking he was surprised I owned the dodge twin to his 3000GT VR4. I have always felt that on the highway our stealth cold beat our 06 Mustang but not by that much! After a few mins he starts to smile and said, "Ok I'm pretty proud of this." He opens the hood and there sits a a bad a$$ engine looking and sounding perfectly stock from the outside. He claimed to have about 435hp (very believable with the bigger turbos, dual stage boost controler, complete intake and exhaust system, 650 injectors, blah blah blah) This was a sweet ride and he should be proud as he claimed to do all the work himself. When I drove away I was contemplating which car I was going to build some HP for. 06 GT convertible, 94 Dodge Stealth RT TT, or the newest member of our family 67 Mustang convertible (non matching) I really didn't like gettting worked like that from 60 to 100! Our GT's are not even in the same league as that VR4, he claim to have about 4k into aftermarket mods.

honorable death. when modded, those cars are quick(as you know). i had an n/a '91 Stealth. i liked the car, but, i couldnt pass up the deal i got on my 5.0. NOW, had the Stealth been the TT awd version, id probably still have the car. but, i wouldnt have had that car(the Stealth) if my Honda hadnt been totalled, and i LOVED that car. wish i still had it..........
