I came up on an AWD magnum RT a while back, and pulled next to him, stopped...I was in the laser.

When the green flag dropped, he jumped on it, as did I, and when we hit the first hard turn, he got off it hard, so I had to slow a bit, and when the surface went to two lanes, i swung out, and he gets off of it...??

wtf?

So, I slowed down, let him catch up, and right before he pulls next to me, i hear him jump on it...i had already shifted back into third gear, so i was in my tiny little powerband and as soon as i jumped into it, he let off again, so i went tearing past...

?

we later came to another stop, and he was next to me...so i ease forward, as does the magnum, and when the green flag drops, i look over at him, and he doesnt move...he just sits there. i shake my head and pull out a little harder than normal...going through the gears, probably not breaking 65, when he comes blowing past me again, and i didnt bother pissing with it anymore...

sometimes these people make me feel ashamed to be a dodge owner...[&o]

(this race took place on a private race track, of course)

 

I don't get why someone would be ashamed to "drive" a car. Bitch you bought the car you should feel stupid.

I am sometimes afraid to admit, though, I cruise into parking lots with 20 sometimes more than 30 cars (not piddly *** things but 9/10 second DD cars) and hang out then go to a "private" road to race.

and what if i didnt buy them, buti was left them, like some sort of odd version of brewsters millions...instead, its brewsters dodges...and i have a set amount of time to find someone who will give me fair market value for a collection of dodges, and if i do, i win a million dollars...

I was surprised...When i got the laser, I put the daytona on craigslist, and we got quite a bit more than we paid for it...it was solid, but needed work, and hadnt run in a long time. turbo was shot, etc...until the guy had the car on the flatbed and handed me the cash, i was sure that he was going to back out.

Highly doubtful....I used to love the guys who had "eleven second cars" and then we'd go to the track and they couldn't bust into the 7's....I guess they'd gain a ****load in the 2nd half.
