I really like the RX7's, but it always seems to be really difficult to find a nice clean one that hasn't been butchered with crappy body kits and such.
+1.... I've been eyeing this rarity for awhile

There are some big hp VR-4's out there, but they're few and far between. They're kinda unreliable, and once big numbers are reached, lots of stuff starts breaking.

Much the same for the 300ZX. They can handle some serious boost, but they are kinda finnicky, and there's other little stuff, like the HICAS all-wheel-steering system, that can ba troublesome.

The RX7 isn't a good platform for trying to reach big numbers. They are prone to overheating, and damaged apex seals. That's why all the really fast ones usually have an LSX or maybe 2JZ/RB26 in them...

My dads neighbor had one at the same time my dad picked up his new '93 TransAm. Man did that guy talk **** about that car. It was really nice, and had the button that put it in "race mode" or whatever. The spoiler adjusted and the car got lower or something....idk. All I know is that I was riding shotgun when dad busted his *** in the mighty LTjuan. The guy actually traded the car in afterwards for a new Vette with the LT1.

But you said it could take his car all the way up to 200mph . Silly Blackms3, only vettes and porschescan hit 200mph with a budget under $80k. For some reason I think that RX-7 isa 14/13seccar with shiny stuff(aka show only) and will never see the track/strip and probably never be pushed to it's limits like it should.Case Closed/

What about 300zx's and RX7's.
LOL 300zxs are sup'd up dude. The JUN 300ZX Still holds track records to this day for going 260+mph while to this day the JUN supra hasn't gotton that far yet and has trapped 240 mph lol. 300ZX have been built to 1200-1300 hp. Infact my friend just finished converting his 300zx into single turbo and is now going to be looking at low 10s high 9s on some stock internals I bealive lol. The VR4s were the competion with the supra and the 300zx Twin turbo, AS well as the RX7. All were designed from base to TT models. All kicked *** as TT models. Add 1 mod to it and it responded to that mod like crazy. Just my friend's r33 skyline which thosecars have no restriction whatso ever. Add an exhaust and it just has such a crazy notch in hp.Add basic bolt-ons to these plus a tune and your looking at a very easy mid to low 12 sec car. With stock turbos and stock internals.

Well my friend's 300zx is pushing over 600-700 rwhp and it's a daily driver. Same is said for the supra. And the skyline all day. The rx7 is rotary hell and the vr4 is a handful of problems to work on because of the electrical problems. Plus their engine bay scares the **** out of me...

There was no base model FD3S. All the last gen RX7's were turbocharged.

As for your second post, I said the 300's have hold some serious boost. But they are finnicky. I know plenty of people who own/have owned them, and they have their share of problem areas....

The JUN Supra has gone 263 btw....
