1. What's the deal with these rides?
2. What kind of power are they making stock?
3.What does their potential look like?

Reason I ask this is because I can't find much info on them, and I had a little interstate run with one this afternoon. I was coming home on a very longgg, straight, boring, 4 lane hwy, with hardly any traffic and no other cars on the road. I had my cruise set at 70mph and this sweet looking little Audi literally flys up on my ***. I saw a black dot back there about a mile, but didn't realize he was traveling so fast. Anyway, he gets up beside me and his passenger points straight ahead, gesturing a "lets go". I rolled down my window and told him to get the jump. We had slowed to about 65mph. He got on it and jumped ahead a car. I down shifted into 3rd and did a quick shift to 4th, (I have 4.10s and 90mph has 3rd maxed).He stayed close until I gotup to 4k in 4th gear, and then I pretty much walked away.He did manage to stay beside me and at my back bumper up to 110mph. Anyone have any knowledge/experience with A4s. It looked like a brand new car. Had a cool looking front bumper with a subtle air dam and was lowered a little. I couldn't hear any turbo spool or aftermarket exhaust over my car's noise.

 

If it was a new car, it was a 2.0T. And he would have had to been modded to hang w/ you. Thay come w/ 200hp, and are lucky to get into the the 14's. The older 1.8T cars like I own are mid 15's stock, and come w/ 170hp. They wake up a lot w/ just a tune, but he would have to be HEAVILY modded to give you a run....

 

Depends on the year. The older ones are the 1.8 turbos or 2.8l sixxers. They make 155 or so and are either front or AWD. Newer models( i think 02+ or so) are 2.0l turbos make 200hp. Stock theyr not fast. They can be modded pretty easily, but the A4's would need a lot of work to get near as fast as you. Sure it was an A4 an not an A6?

That being said the A4s are really no match against a Mach 1. Friend has a like 99 1.8T with a GT28@22 pounds. He made like 219 awhp(his "tune" sucks and the dyno reads a bit low but still). Funny thing is he thinks it's like the fastest thing on the planet. I pulled about 5 cars on him back when I was spraying a 100 shot with 750 PSI of bottle pressure lol

Seems like that 1.8 needs some serious mods so it can run.

 

Positive, it said A4 1.8T on the left side of the trunk. He had two exhaust pipes (if that says anything about the model). I got a good look when he jumped me. He didn't keep up for long, but I had to get my RPM upto,and over4k to pull away. It could've been that he was modded pretty good and in his powerband.

I was kind of torn between the top of third or bottom of 4th.

 

I was coming out of Greenville, NC on 264.

 

I really doubt its the guy I know but was it an Asian dude in a silver A4?

 

Na man, it was a black A4. That would've been cool if it was the same car though, at least we'd know what the deal was.

 

Ah damn never mind. I figured it wasn't seeing as Greenville is a good bit away from Charlotte but I can dream. I was about to call him and start laughing lol

 

If it had dual exhaust outlets, it was a Sport or S Line model. They're not any faster, but the S Line/Ultrasport (depending on year) has a 6-sp instead of 5-sp manual. The guy prolly either had a K04, or his K03 was maxxed out to put up any kind of fight....
