Eh, this should favor the GT until they reach speeds of 160mph because by then the LS1 should pull some cars.
crack smoker alert . lol

What would you rather have? A car that can run the 1/4 in the high 11's and has a top speed of 140 or a car that runs 13's and can eventually run to 160? I just don't get the top end speed thing. It's not like we live in Europe. If I am "street racing", the race will be long over before it gets past 100 mph.
i was just telling him the truth. i would rather have a car fast in the quater. of course that statement comming from you who has a car that does 200. lol
I hear you, but that whole thought process just irritates me for some reason. This isn't NASCAR. As far as I am concerned there are 4 types of races for the S/S section: 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, dig street race and roll races (which really shouldn't even count). As far as I am concerned, 95% of all of the races should be over by 120 mph. The other 5% is for the high hp cars that trap on the upper 120's and low 130's.

It's like me thinking I got the fastest car on this forum because eventually it will pull on everyone except for Rogers car. Take Moddadict and that insane machine he runs as an example. He'd pummel me in the 1/4. Should I say, well look out when we get to 160 - I will pull on you. Know what I am saying?

I Agree...It's nice to brag that I have a car that will hit just shy of 190mph....But there is not one public road in the entire Bay Area to do it. Interstate 5 in the wee hours of the morning? Maybe, but if a truck pulls in your lane you've bought it ..So it's mute....

If you don't have the lead by 120mph....You've lost..

There was a dude at a track i went to a few weeks ago, who was probably 45-50, with a stock 5.7 goat, he was running mid-low 14s. Couldn't drive worth ****.

You could replace "5.7 goat" with almost any make and model and have it be true.

My automatic Goat ran a 13.8 bone stock. 104-5 if memory serves. I pulled a 2.1 60 foot every single time when stock, no ****. Once modded, it was alot more inconsistent. Anyway, I truly believe that auto GT with 4.10s is going to be more prone to spin on the launch. I say drivers race up to 80 or so, then that goat is gonna pull. If he has a manual, forget it, unless he is a really bad driver.

The goat is very hard to launch, however, if u jump in front of him (with your mods in sig) it should stay pretty even and you might pull him,but he will creep up on you @ the 1/4. If he puts a 1/2 car length on you out of the hole - shut it down - it's over.
