This kid I used to work with would always talk up his SRT4 ACR and asked me to race him back when I drove a 99 Neon Expresso. Finally gave in and lost by 2.5-3 after pulling a car ahead of him off the light (with 2 kicker 12" subs in the trunk). A guy at work has a WS6 running a 200 shot of NOS and won't give him the light of day. I brought my 05 GT (stock at that time) down and he of course wants to go. I let him do the count and we were off I had a horrible launch and turned the tires to smoke hit second hard and kicked the back end out a lil then flat DESTROYED him from that point on. The guy with the WS6 was our finish line guy and said I had him by 6 cars!! The kid said he wanted to go round 2, the guy with the WS6 told him he'd just get the same thing again for messin with American Muscle lol! The kid said the reason he lost was because of wheel hop in 1st.

 

The guy couldn't drive to save his life if he lost that bad.

Oh ya...he had an AEM Brute Force CAI also.

Nice kill, but dont think you're gonna beat all of them like that. With about $1000 in mods he will run with you, and with about $2000 in mods he will straight whoop your ***.

 

Definitely noted...plannin on doin full motor mods by the time i'm done with the 05, want to keep it N/A...want to do heads, cams, stroke to 302, etc etc

btw -IMO much more effective cost wise to throw a blower on the 3V then to stay NA if u want to make bigger power.

 

Good kill. The acr is a great little car in the twisties. check this link out, MPH magazine says it's one of the bestroad course cars for the money out there. They compare it to a BMW M3 with the compatition package in this link on a racetrack.
