I'd of bet the farm on the ellisjuan...Give me a breakdown of how the launches went please.
Light turns green, we both launch at the exact same time, I pull a half car and start pulling more, we shut down. Not much else to say.

Nice. Not exactly what I meant. Did he hook, go up in smoke and pedal? You? How did the launches unfold? I figured you both left on the green, just looking for more detail...
Sorry......The launches were exactly equal. Both of us chirped, but didn't sit and spin, and both of our noses left the light side by side. I got worried for a quick second because we left the light nose to nose, and I just started pulling steadily.

So we were both equal launches.

When we go to the track though I think it'll be a little ugly, because I'm awesome at the tree. He's never hit the strip before, so I promised him I'd teach him my trick so we can have an equal race after a few runs. My 0.00 RT usually strikes fear in people , and for the record after debating it online, I asked an NMRA mustang champion that works on my car and he says 0.00 means I ran a "Perfect Tree" as he referred to it as. He said it was not "red lighting" as some tried to imply here. So I think the track will bring better results for me, but there's no telling until that day comes.

Edit: I meant "Then I started pulling steadily" not "and I started pulling steadily". I just figured I'd clarify, because after re-reading it didn't imply what I meant. I was incinuating that we were nose to nose so I was a little worried out of the hole, then I was no longer worried because I started pulling steadily.

An actualheterosexual "race" goes from a stop to at least 660 feet. What you did was just some fun dicking around at a stoplight and does not justify any kind of real bragging rights.

But of course your right, it's not possible to beat an LS1,
Not unless you're omitting some speed parts from your sig. A CTS-V will also kick your car in the nuts, even worse than an auto LS1 Camaro. Numbers don't lie, please post up yours when you have some. I think your posts may look a bit different after that.[8D]I'm not a fanboy, just someone who has actual racing experience.

Baddog, my car traps near the bottom of third. 1st goes to 55 and2nd goes to 95.
Wow, well I wasn't aware that I'm less of a man for not wanting to go to jail for doing 30+MPH over the speed limit! Although some people are willing to take that chance, I'm not. I'll race up to a reasonable speed on the streets, and then I'm done.

As others said by 60 you know the outcome of a race pretty good. If I pulled on him steadily, that's usually an indication I'm going to win. Sure it can change, but then hehas to also make up the momentum I've gained on him, which is harder to do that beat someone from a dig or a roll.

I did beat a CTS-V 3 times. Pulled 3 cars on him & by 70MPH he would close the gap to 1 car. It was the same result all 3 times I raced him. He wasn't too happy either. You say he would "Smoke" me? Are you aware they run a 13.5-13.6 1/4 mile stock? With all my mods, I sure hope being a good driver I can run that, if others here have run 13.7-13.9 stock. Anyone with any type of knowledge of cars would know that all the mods I have would atleast gain me .2-.4 in the 1/4mile, so it's much more believable than you think.

And I wasn't aware that the fact I've been to the strip maybe about 20 different times, and racing on the streets for years = me not having any racing experience. I also guess the fact I've gone to car shows every weekend as a kid, and being in the car when my dad used to race = I again have no racing experience.

I think it's ignorant that you think only you have real racing experience. Where do you get off thinking your so much superior to others? You don't even know me, so how the hell do you know my experience?

Weren't you that guy that claimed my 0.00 RT was red lighting? If so that makes sense, because you know more than an NMRA Mustang Fun Ford Champion, who apparentely agreed with me. But of course in your little world, that probably is a lie too, because I happen to make up stories all the time for the sake of bragging. Kind of like when I made up that story of losing to a beat a$$ looking old Civic hatch. Yeah, nothing like bragging about getting your salad tossed by a beat rice can! But you're right, people always lie, and make up stories about losing bad to a ricer! It really inflates our egos!

did he explain to you that a 0.00 is a perfect light for pro tree?

the street and the track are two very different things... a BONE STOCK Ls1 will slaughter you on a real drag strip (mine went 12.9 @108 with just nittos) My friend's stock auto Z28 went 13.20 @ 107 mph... if you had an actual real race on the street you would get eaten alive by a stock LS1, just look at trap speeds. You will probably be lucky to crack 100 mph in the 1/4th.

fhackin LOL at racing to 60 mph

you are an idiot as evidenced by this thread

I think he knows the Ls1 should win on a longer race... but that doesn't matter.. they agreed to race to 60 mph. A win is a win.

Good kill... the 1/8th mile might be a little different.

I can't help it, stupidity gets to me! There's nothing worse than utter ignorance. He has the audacity to say I'm an idiot, yet by analyzing his posts against mine, I clearly have superior vernacular. So where he gets off thinking I'm the idiot is beyond me!

I have explained time and time again, that I'm not a Ford fanboy. This is my second ford, and of my 14 cars I've owned 75% were a GM product. I love vettes, I had an Iroc Z camaro, and I have total respect for them.

I don't think that LS1's are garbage, or slow. I've simply said that they can be beat, and it's not as impossible as people make it out to be. Here's some examples of an LS1 losing to a pretty stockish GT......

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jXBOunIydwU GT vs 04 GTO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPbuZ...eature=relatedGT vs 00 LS1 Camaro

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pz9FTEdf2E8GT vs LS1

Now aside from these videos that show the LS1 losing, there's double the amount of the LS1 winning. My point to this is that although it is a challenge, it can be done with the right driver and light mods.

The fact that this guy not only attacks my 0-60MPH race, but he attacks my driving skills, my honesty, and then starts name calling totally set me off! He's the classic internet tough guy, that spouts off at the mouth because there's no consequences for his actions. I'm judging by his attitude that he has a clear inferiority complex.

Regardless I'd appreciate people being more positive!
