Okay so im driving home 20 minutes ago, i have a stock 2000 v6. My cars manual.

I started to leave a green light, and the car next to me, a nissan sentra with yellow fog lights and from what i heard, exhaust too, kept up on side of me and started to gun it, so i followed.

I was playing catch up the whole time, and couldn't reel him back in. Now we go again at a low roll off the light, and hes along side of me until top of 3rd, where he started to pull.

It looked like a fifth generation, had an SE R badge if I correctly, if they made those. that or it said gtr.

Did those come with the sr20DE egine? I know i heard VTC kick in.

Im just wondering if he was stock or not...

 

 

I know nothing about the cars. Seemed to be pretty fast, fun lil race. Havn't had my stang in over a year so yea.

 

If he wasn't pulling on you until third gear, he's probably nearly stock.

 

Im guessing the sr20's are fast motors? From what I was just told, he has an sr20 in it. He walked away from me as soon as Im in 4th gear.

 

Are you surprised? Stock 2000 Mustang V6s are like 16 second 1/4 mile cars... there are alot of cars that would walk away from you.

I'm not trying to be mean, but I'm not totally shocked that a Sentra would waste one.

 

ha. no way am i saying i drive a fast. car... haha in no way what so ever.

the car looked like junk. thats what surprised me. I didnt know nissan made the sentra with some decent power. Now that I know it had the sr20 in it, its no suprise.

 

some of those SE-Rs are quick little cars.

 

well, i was beat by a sentra once......stripped/ gutted, turbo k22.
but with you being a stock '00 v6 the sentra R looks liek the Sr20de is about 140hp, and are mid 15sec cars

 

I test drove a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R spec V when it first came out. They are very quick for what they are. They run mid to low 15's stock with a decent driver. They have a LSD, and I was able to easily chirp the tires in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd..........something I wasn't able to do with my modded Focus ZX3.

Both the SE-R & the SE-R Spec V models would whoop on you in a 00 V6. It would be a drivers race for an S197 sixxer.
