Default 2008 BMW M5

So last night around midnighti going down the highway and i see a 2008 BMW M5. So far we are just driving normal. Then he takes off like a bat out of hell and gets 1/8 mile ahead of me and puts on his four ways. So what the hell the road was empty. So I get up to him and i said one pull from 60. So we go, i pull ahead by 1/2 car (didn't get it 4th as quick as i wanted)and by 110ish i was a car length ahead easy. So my sig is what i run in the 1/4 mile. That was my best time at the track i usually run between 13.1 and 12.9 all day long @ 106-108mph. I was just wanting to get a concensus on this run. I would have rather gone from a dig but i will take this, **** it was an M5.
Does this seem like a good kill or did the guy just not know how to drive? These M5's have a 40valve 5.0L V10 w/ 500hp and 360ish tq. I thought it would be like running a C6 vette atleast.

i really dont know much about those cars so this post is worthless [&:]

You were lucky that guy did not push the M BOTTOM. HE must have thought that street mode was enough to kill ya so he got killed. Good kill man

He probly wasn't in the racing mode. ONLY 400hp not in race mode, although its very possible he was in race mode and just sucks at driving. Either way, good kill

PS i dont know if the M5 has them, but the M6 has a stick and paddle shifters.....if he grinds a gear with paddle shifters he fails at life and should proptly hang himself

They do offer the new M5's with a stick shift...

Nice kill. Maybe he didn't have the M button pushed, or maybe he did and he shifted at the wrong RPMs...

You were right in that thing's wheelhouse. It should've bent you over without lube, your 12.8 notwithstanding. With it's tranny it's just a matter of sinking the right foot so take the driver mod out of it. It was something else...

It must have been a badged 545i. Beacuse the M6 rapes just about everything at highway speeds. Those things are monsters above 100mph....
