I have never heard of a 3000gt breaking into the 12's stock, I would think he has it either way

But I am no expert in them

Those VR4's are definitely no joke broham.. I ran into one a few months on my way back from VA Beach to TX, and the thing toasted me bigtime.. If the guy behind the wheel has the driver mod in check, they're definitely a force to be reckoned with..
your FI Mach1 lost to a VR4...it was definately not stock then huh??? i figured you would rape one
Wellll... 04 Mach @ about 3,600lbs w/ 448RWHP/433 RWTQ.. (including me, my luggage and all the other shyte I had in the car..), against I guesstimated a 96 or 97 3000 GT VR4 @ (and I'm guessing here because the guy was actually pretty skinny, and the car was pretty much empty) 3250lbs w/ a little over 600AWHP/570AWTQ... Yahhhh... I needed a proctologist after that one.. lol If he'd actually been stock I would've beaten him, I don't know about a complete ***-raping like what I got, but I would've won.. Regardless, the guy had a sick setup though..

lol, i see...yeah, the guy told me that he has another buddy in the fishing industry that bought a new one for $48,000 and dropped another 25K into it a few years back. told me that the guy was pushing over 650HP to the wheels and absolutely destroyed everything he raced...

haha, may be the same guy...what part of texas you from...this guy travels back and forth from port oconnor to sugarland

I'm from Keller, which is a few minutes north of Ft. Worth, but I ran into this guy on the I-20 going across Louisianna.. lol I always wanted one of those things, but stock they were not worth 48k I didn't think. If I'd have had that kind of cash to spend on a car back then I would've gotten a Supra w/ a 2JZ in it.. Though I do like them.. Basically the same thing as the Dodge Stealth for the most part.. Only thing is, they're just as hard to launch from a dig as the subie STI's are, but watch out if you get a guy that knows how to launch in one, they go like stink..

You'd definitely beat him if your running in the 12's. Just be careful... a grand in mods and he'd be right there in the 12's with you. They are very high-tech for the time period, which also leads to them constantly breaking

This part is very true. By the time my dads car hit 60k miles, both turbos were bad. For a car that he paid that much money for, that's pretty bad! But the speed & options more than made up for the reliability shortcoming!

All wheel steering? lol nnnnoooopppppeeeee... Just all wheel drive.. I still wouldn't want to race one in the twisties though.. It'd take a pretty modded suspension to keep up with one in a GT or even a mach, or if stock, something like a Cobra R or a Z06.. That's just me though..

They had all wheel steering. My Uncle has 95 TT VR4 (or 94 don't remember, still has it but it's garage kept now) and his has the all wheel steering. I remember when he bought that thing, was the coolest thing I had seen.
